Happy new year!

My house is full of kids who have not gotten enough sleep. How soon can we go to bed?

The nice things are that my in-laws are visiting b/c they are moving my SIL up here, so it's fun and festive. (I have awesome inlaws, and THEY have awesome inlaws. I think it's the sort of thing you inherit...) We had fun speculating about how much fun my oldest, who is almost 15, was having at his New Year's dance last night. He's strenuously avoided any and all dances thus far, but this time he wanted to go. We are trying not to tease him er, too much. But seriously, I'm glad he has a good attitude about trying new things.

The rest of us are eternally grateful we never have to be 15 again.

Our snow is so pretty! It looks like sparkles. And it's easy to shovel, which is always helpful.

I think I had more to say about New Years, but the party has started up again. Have a happy 2013!
